Lowe’s Takes Over Plant City Warehouse, Impacting 178 Saddle Creek Jobs
Lowe’s is assuming operations of a distribution center in Plant City previously managed by Lakeland-based Saddle Creek Logistics Services. A WARN notice dated Aug. 14 identified 178 affected positions at the facility, with employment reductions scheduled for Oct. 15. While employees were offered the opportunity to apply for jobs with Lowe’s, it remains unclear how many have been hired. The change affects a significant number of local workers, primarily forklift operators.
