"No Kings" Rally in The Villages Draws 770, Urges Early Voting Before Nov. 3 Election
Approximately 770 demonstrators gathered Saturday at four major intersections in The Villages, Florida, for a "No Kings" rally encouraging residents to vote early in the Nov. 3 midterm election. The event was co-hosted by The Villages Democratic Club, the Central Florida Tri-County Indivisible group, and the Sumter County Democratic Party, stretching from U.S. Hwy. 441 near Spanish Springs south to the Warm Springs Avenue and Marsh Bend Trail roundabout. Organizers said the scattered multi-intersection approach maximized visibility to passing traffic despite a slightly smaller crowd than some prior rallies. The local demonstration was part of more than 3,000 synchronized "No Kings" events nationwide.
