Man Charged in Two Florida Bank Robberies Wearing 'Old Man' Mask
David Sartin Jr. of St. Petersburg has been charged with robbing banks in Largo and St. Petersburg on August 24 and September 15, respectively. Prosecutors allege Sartin used a prosthetic "old man" mask and fake handgun during the robberies, fleeing on a bicycle after parking his car nearby. Investigators recovered evidence including the mask, disguises, and a journal titled "God’s Best friend is a Bank Robber!" from Sartin's home and storage unit. Sartin was previously convicted of bank robberies in Texas and was on supervised release at the time of these alleged offenses.
