Trump Rallies in Park City for Sen. Marshall on Oct. 19; Pledges E15, Diesel Aid

President Trump held a campaign rally Monday, Oct. 19, at Heartland Credit Union Arena in Park City, Kansas, a Wichita suburb, to support Republican Sen. Roger Marshall's reelection bid against Democrat Adam Hamilton. The arena seats 6,500, and thousands more attended outdoors. During his roughly 90-minute speech, Trump pledged an $8 billion program to help farmers with diesel costs and promised to permanently allow year-round sales of E15 gasoline, a move that would increase demand for Kansas corn. He also reiterated a promise of $5,000 checks to adult citizens if Republicans retain Congress. Marshall's race against Hamilton has been described as unexpectedly close in a state that has not elected a Democrat to the U.S. Senate since 1932.
