Infant's Body Found at Fort Worth Motel; Mother Charged With Capital Murder
Fort Worth police were called about 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, to the Drummers Inn in the 7300 block of Camp Bowie West Boulevard after an infant's body was found near a dumpster. Avia Cantrell, 23, was arrested Monday on suspicion of capital murder; Camron Baker, 26, faces a charge of abuse of a corpse. A relative reported that Cantrell lives at the motel full-time with three other children and had a history of undisclosed pregnancies. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office has not released a cause of death, and Fort Worth police crimes-against-children detectives continue investigating.
