Family seeks DOJ probe into Senatobia baby shooting after officer cleared
The family of 1-year-old Kohen Wiley, who was shot and killed by a Senatobia police officer in June, is petitioning the Department of Justice for an investigation. Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office recently ruled the officer's actions justified, but the family’s attorneys dispute this finding based on surveillance footage and an independent autopsy. The family also seeks to have Officer Hunter Foster decertified following his resignation. Meanwhile, the Senatobia Board of Aldermen held a closed executive session regarding police personnel matters.
