Spearfish Sewer Repair Using Trenchless Tech Begins Friday, Oct. 16
A sewer improvement project begins Friday, Oct. 16, near the intersection of Grant and 12th streets in Spearfish, South Dakota. Municipal Pipe Tool Company of Hudson, Iowa, will use cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology to repair aging sewer lines without excavation, reducing disruption to nearby homes, roads, and businesses. The city warns that a chemical odor may be noticeable for a few hours during the curing process and that vapors can enter homes through dry plumbing fixtures; residents are advised to run water in unused sinks, tubs, and drains to refill P-traps.
