Red Flag Warning for North Bay Interior Mountains Through 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16
The National Weather Service in San Francisco issued a Red Flag Warning on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 11:40 a.m., valid from 10 p.m. that evening until 11 a.m. Friday for the North Bay Interior Mountains. Moderate offshore winds and very dry overnight conditions—with humidity recoveries of only 14 to 24%—create rapid fire spread risk from gusty northerly winds. The NWS urges residents to secure burn barrels, properly extinguish outdoor fires, never leave blazes unattended, and avoid discarding smoking materials outdoors during the warning period.
