3 Hospitalized After Horses Panic at Lazy 5 Ranch Wagon Ride
Three passengers were hospitalized Saturday after a tree limb fell and struck a horse-drawn wagon at Lazy 5 Ranch, causing the horses to panic and throw riders off, ranch officials said. EMS transported the injured to local hospitals for evaluation; remaining passengers were unharmed or declined medical assistance. The wagon driver was uninjured, and the horses were evaluated, found unharmed, and returned to work. Ranch officials said this is the first incident requiring an overnight hospitalization in the attraction's history of at least 3 million wagon rides since opening in 1993.
