Trump Makes Third Texas Campaign Stop Tuesday Before Midterms
President Trump visited Corpus Christi and Lubbock on Tuesday for his third trip to Texas in a month, campaigning for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton against Democrat James Talarico ahead of next week's midterm elections. Talarico appeared in Amarillo before also heading to Lubbock, criticizing what he called a "broken, corrupt" political system. Elon Musk has contributed at least $158 million through the Senate Leadership Fund to the Texas PAC supporting Paxton, making the race one of the most expensive in the country with over $563 million in advertising spending. Trump referenced military operations in Iran and Venezuela during the Corpus Christi stop, where Secretary of State Marco Rubio also appeared.
