Hudson County Commissioner Candidates Missing ELEC Reports Before Nov. 3 Election
Two days before the Nov. 3 general election, Hudson County Commissioner Yraida Aponte-Lipski's campaign committee has no New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission reports on file covering any activity after March 31, 2025, despite other committees' filings showing it distributed money this year. ELEC's director of compliance confirmed the general-election 29-day and 11-day reports were due Oct. 5 and Oct. 23, respectively, but none appear in the database. Her challenger Aaron Weiner also has not filed his 11-day report, though his 29-day report shows $16,601 raised and $4,751.01 spent. Aponte-Lipski's committee history includes late filings for prior elections, and her fourth-quarter 2024 report checked the "Declaration of Final Report" box certifying the fund was dissolved. Neither candidate nor ELEC responded to Hudson TV inquiries before publication.
