The Hudson County Board of Commissioners voted 8-0(1) to award a $25,593,480.20 contract to Hindsight, Inc. of Washington, New Jersey, for the operation and management of county information systems and telecommunications services over seven years (October 28 through October 27, 2033). Commissioner Bill O'Dea (D-2) abstained, citing concerns about year-over-year price increases of 12% and 10% in early contract years and the vendor's unilateral addition of staff. Only one proposal was received in response to the county's request for proposals, submitted July 10. The resolution notes Hindsight has provided services to Hudson County for several years with satisfactory results.

At Thursday's Hudson County Board of Commissioners meeting, Courthouse Park Advocacy Group President Laura Moss expressed frustration over further delays to demolishing the county Administration Building at 595 Newark Ave in Jersey City for park construction. The delay stems from a state judiciary order requiring civil courts to relocate from the William Brennan Courthouse into the Administration Building while HVAC repairs proceed. Hudson County Administrator Abe Antun confirmed that bids for the $33.7 million Brennan Courthouse HVAC renovations are due November 10, after previous bid deadlines expired amid scheduling cancellations. Commissioner Bill O'Dea and Commissioner Al Cifelli acknowledged a lack of communication between County Executive Craig Guy's office and the board regarding the park project.

City officials cited potential conflicts with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection regulations as a reason for the reversal. Mayor Emily Jabbour and Second Ward Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher stated they will collaborate with the NJDEP to develop new noise legislation by next spring while strengthening enforcement of existing laws.
