VP Vance Campaign Rally in Hendersonville Monday, Oct. 19 at Noon
Vice President JD Vance will hold a campaign event at noon on Monday, Oct. 19, at 142 Chestnut Gap Road in Hendersonville, NC, to support Republican Jennifer Balkcom's run for North Carolina's 11th Congressional District seat. Balkcom faces Democrat Jamie Ager, co-owner and CEO of Hickory Nut Gap Farm; recent polling reported by The New York Times shows Ager with a higher favorability rating. President Trump is also scheduled to campaign in the region next week, holding rallies in Greenville, NC (Oct. 20) and Clemson, SC (Oct. 21) for Senate candidates Michael Whatley and Darlene Graham. Western Carolina University political scientist Dr. Chris Cooper said the visits aim to motivate Republican turnout rather than change undecided voters' choices.
