Hot Springs Resident Brian Bengs Runs for U.S. Senate as Independent
Brian Bengs of Hot Springs, South Dakota, is running as an independent candidate for the U.S. Senate seat held by Republican Sen. Mike Rounds. This marks his second attempt at the office, having previously run as a Democrat in 2022. Bengs cites concerns over government spending and corporate influence in politics as primary motivations for his campaign. His platform includes term limits, halting new data center construction pending AI regulations, and ending involvement in the Iran War.
