Sacramento County officials arrested 67-year-old Wendell Celestine on suspicion of murder following the death of his ex-wife at an El Paraiso Avenue residence. Sacramento police reported that a woman was killed and a child injured after being struck by a vehicle on Las Palmas Avenue. The collision occurred just before 3:15 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of the street.
