Senatobia Officer Who Killed 1-Year-Old Resigns After Being Cleared
Sgt. Hunter Foster, the Senatobia, Mississippi officer who shot and killed 1-year-old Kohen Wiley in a Walmart parking lot on June 14, resigned Friday after the state Attorney General cleared him of criminal wrongdoing. The state released body-camera footage Thursday showing the encounter during a shoplifting call response. The family disputes Foster's claim he was in danger; their attorney Ben Crump called for federal investigation and decertification. Foster previously worked in Southaven, where a 2019 civil rights lawsuit against him settled in 2022.
