Teacher Gets Record 13-Year Sentence for Voyeurism in DeSoto County
Benjamin Kegerise was sentenced to 13 years in prison followed by seven years of post-release supervision, the longest sentence ever secured for a voyeurism conviction in DeSoto County, Mississippi. The Olive Branch Police Department arrested Kegerise last October after he was accused of placing his cellphone in a bathroom trash can to film during a family event at his home. The DeSoto County District Attorney's Office stated that none of the criminal conduct occurred at a school and no students were involved. A second affidavit indicated the reported behavior dated back to January 2025.
