State Bar Seizes Chino Immigration Business Over Unlicensed Practice Allegations
The California State Bar obtained a court order Oct. 1 and seized the North American Immigration Center in Chino on Oct. 2, alleging the business practiced law without a license. A client reported being charged $6,000 for immigration services and then receiving an additional $1,500 bill with a letter bearing a forged attorney signature. Investigators confiscated 14 boxes of client files, three USB drives, and two computers from the company, incorporated in 2018 by Wendy Dong. The complaint was filed in San Bernardino County Superior Court.
