Alpha School Opens Chicago Campus with AI-Based Teaching Model
Alpha School, a private for-profit institution founded in Austin, Texas, opened its first Chicago campus this fall for students in pre-K through eighth grade. The school utilizes adaptive software called TimeBack to deliver core academic instruction, allowing students to complete daily lessons in approximately two hours. Adults in the building serve as "guides" focused on emotional and motivational support rather than traditional teaching. Tuition at the Chicago location costs $55,000 per year.
