FBI Arrests German Man in 14-Year-Old Fort Wayne Girl's Suicide
The FBI Indianapolis Field Office announced the arrest of an 18-year-old German man on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of a 14-year-old girl in Fort Wayne, Indiana. German authorities arrested the suspect at the request of U.S. investigators after the Fort Wayne Police Department's Homicide Unit identified him as contributing to the teen's death earlier in October. Prosecutors allege the suspect manipulated the victim via Discord into self-harm and suicide, with references to a group called "NMK" found in her recordings. On Oct. 14, Fort Wayne Police held a press conference warning parents and educators about online networks using platforms including Discord, Roblox, and Telegram to groom and exploit children.
