South Bend Daycare Operator Charged After Alleged Child Fight at Her Home
Tysharae Jones, 29, a South Bend daycare operator, faces charges of battery with injury to a person under 14, neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Police said the alleged fight involving children occurred in June 2026 at Jones' personal home rather than at her South Bend daycare facility. The special victims unit with the prosecutor's office is handling the case. Prosecutors noted that Indiana's universal reporting law requires every adult who suspects child abuse to report it, regardless of profession.
