Wilton Manors Garden Café Closing After 12 Years for Apartment Complex
The Alchemist Café, open since 2014 at 2430 NE 13th Ave. in Wilton Manors, is leaving its garden location after 12 years as the property is redeveloped into Generation Wilton Manors, a six-story, 190-unit apartment complex by developer Morris Kaplan. The Wilton Manors City Commission approved rezoning and development agreements for the project on January 23, 2024, with minor site plan modifications approved January 23, 2026; final approval still depends on recording the property's plat, and the site plan remains valid through October 1, 2027. The café plans to relocate nearby but has not announced a final service date or new address. Kaplan previously stated existing businesses would receive first right of refusal to return to the completed development.
