Ironworker Poindexter Challenges Rep. Miller in Ohio's 7th District Race
Democratic challenger Brian Poindexter, a union ironworker and former Brook Park councilman, is contesting Republican Rep. Max Miller's seat in Ohio's 7th Congressional District amid domestic abuse allegations leveled by Miller's ex-wife Emily Moreno and ex-girlfriend Stephanie Grisham. Both Ohio senators said Miller was unfit to serve, and the House has opened an ethics investigation; Miller denies the allegations and has filed defamation lawsuits. House Majority PAC has committed over $6 million in Cleveland-area ads for Poindexter, while the Congressional Leadership Fund booked more than $5.5 million for Miller. Local voters cited gas prices, tariffs, the war in Iran, and immigration enforcement as key issues alongside the personal allegations.
