Sharonville Police Lt. Indicted for Alleged Misuse of Flock Surveillance Cameras
Sharonville Police Lt. Walter Cordes, 48, was indicted Tuesday on charges of unauthorized use of a computer, cable, or telecommunications property after allegedly using the city's Flock camera system 29 times between Dec. 19, 2024, and April 20, 2026, to track a person for reasons unrelated to law enforcement, according to Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich. Prosecutors said Cordes self-reported during a department audit in June and was placed on administrative leave pending investigation. He faces up to a year in prison. The Sharonville Police Department is now requiring additional training for all officers on the use of law enforcement databases and technology.
