Coastal Flood Advisory for Southern California Beaches Through Thursday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m.

The National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard office issued a coastal flood advisory Sunday evening covering San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles county beaches through Thursday at 1 p.m. High tides are expected to reach 7.5–8.0 feet MLLW each late morning, 1.0 to 1.5 feet above astronomical projections, with the highest tides Monday through Wednesday. Minor to moderate seawater flooding is likely over vulnerable low-lying coastal areas including beach parking lots, bike paths, and harbor walkways, with moderate to significant beach erosion expected. A small chance exists for isolated Coastal Flood Warnings Wednesday through Thursday if larger surf develops. Residents in flood-prone or low-lying camping areas are urged to move to higher ground and avoid driving through flood waters.
