BLM Evaluating Proposed Data Center Near Twin Falls, Idaho
The Bureau of Land Management is evaluating a preliminary pitch by California-based Copia Power to build a 3,700-acre data center on public land north of Twin Falls, Idaho. The project, named Falcon Data Center, is in the pre-application phase and has not yet triggered a formal public comment period. This proposal marks the second private data center plan targeting Idaho public land in 2026, following a similar effort in southern Ada County earlier this year. Local conservation groups and Democratic candidates have voiced opposition, citing concerns over water usage, energy costs, and environmental impacts.
