Bridger-Teton Forest Open House Nov. 16, 5-7 p.m., on Snow King Trail Additions
The Bridger-Teton National Forest Jackson Ranger District is hosting a public open house Monday, Nov. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Jackson Ranger District Office, 340 North Cache Street in Jackson, WY. The event covers four proposed non-motorized trail additions—the Ferrin's Trail Alternate, Josie's Ridge Trail Alternate, Leeks Canyon Trail Alternate, and Game Creek Parallel Trail—intended to reduce congestion and conflicts in the Greater Snow King Area. Environmental analysis and on-the-ground surveys were completed during summer 2026 by interdisciplinary specialists. If approved, construction would proceed over five years under a Categorical Exclusion USDA-26-USFS designation, with trail building supported by Forest Service crews, Friends of Pathways, conservation corps, and volunteers.
