Live Oak Council Approves Lot Split at 2962 Elm St., Oct. 7 Vote
At its Oct. 7 meeting, the Live Oak City Council voted 4-1 to approve a residential lot split for a 0.33-acre parcel at 2962 Elm St., creating two new parcels available for residential development. The council approved a deferred improvement agreement requiring a $3,040 deposit in lieu of immediate road widening and curb-and-gutter installation, giving the city five years to determine whether those improvements are needed. Councilmember Nancy Santana dissented, arguing development should follow existing code requirements. City Manager Ben Moody also reported ongoing PFAS water testing showing levels below the state notification threshold, and updates on sheriff's department and fire services contracts with Sutter County.
