Soda Fire in Siskiyou County Fully Contained as of Oct. 27
The Soda Fire, first discovered at 9:42 p.m. Oct. 18 in Bear Creek southwest of Sterling Mountain in Siskiyou County, California, was fully contained by Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 27. The USFS Klamath National Forest fire consumed 13.8 acres before containment was achieved. The cause of the fire remains unknown. Full containment means the entire perimeter is surrounded by a control line, though the fire may still burn within that boundary.
