Silent Book Club Hosts Monthly Reading Meetups Across San Jose, Campbell and Fremont

The Bay Area-born Silent Book Club organization supports recurring monthly reading meetups in multiple Santa Clara County cities, including San Jose and Campbell, where roughly a dozen attendees gather at venues such as a Panera Bread in Campbell to read silently for an hour before discussing books. The San Jose chapter, organized by moderators Cleo Brock, Michelle Berg, Hannah Nielsen and Amy Ly, holds events nearly every week at libraries, cafes, parks and pubs, including audiobook walks and themed gatherings like a "Manga and Matcha" meetup at Maruwu Seicha in Campbell. In Fremont (Alameda County), Banter Bookshop hosts Silent Book Club sessions on the second Wednesday of each month for 10 to 20 attendees. The organization, founded in San Francisco in 2012, now supports approximately 2,200 chapters across 70 countries.
