Prichard Sanitation Worker Dies Following Aug. 4 Road Rage Shooting
Clifton Eugene DuBose Jr., 54, a city sanitation worker in Prichard, Alabama, died this week from injuries sustained in an Aug. 4 road rage shooting on Jarrett Road while driving a garbage truck. The Mobile County Sheriff's Office reported that both parties stopped their vehicles and drew guns; the wife of the other driver shot DuBose in the abdomen, and children were present in the other vehicle. DuBose was described as the aggressor and had been charged with five counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle, along with an active domestic violence warrant and a suspended or revoked license. Sheriff Paul Burch questioned how a city employee could operate a garbage truck without a valid license and urged residents to report road incidents to law enforcement rather than engage in confrontations.
