Prattville Police Officer Dies in Off-Duty Crash on Highway 31
Cpl. Dakota Lee Davis of the Prattville Police Department died from injuries sustained in an off-duty crash on Highway 31 on Monday afternoon, according to the department. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the collision, and further details have not been released. A procession was held Tuesday morning as Davis' body was transported from Montgomery to Millbrook. Prattville Police Chief Mark Thompson called the loss devastating to both the department and the city.
