Placer County Early Voting Reaches 37% Turnout by Nov. 2 Morning

As of 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, just under 110,000 ballots had been processed and deemed eligible in Placer County, representing a 37% voter turnout rate, according to Stacy Robinson, public information officer for the Placer County Clerk-Recorder-Elections. Robinson said numbers were expected to rise dramatically over Nov. 2 and Nov. 3. Approximately 16,500 ballots (15%) were submitted in person through the county's "Sign, Scan & Go!" program, which lets voters drop off mailed ballots and watch their vote counted in real time. In-person voting has more than doubled since the initiative launched in the 2024 primary election, and Placer County recorded the highest in-person voting percentage in California in both 2024 and 2025.
