Beach Hazards Statement Through Tuesday 9 a.m. for San Diego and Orange County Coasts
The NWS San Diego CA issued a beach hazards statement on Sunday at 12:59 a.m., valid from 9 a.m. Sunday through 9 a.m. Tuesday for San Diego County Coastal Areas and Orange County Coastal. Surf is expected to build to 3–6 feet, with dangerous rip currents, breaking waves, minor beach erosion, and possible tidal overflows, especially near Huntington Beach. Residents are urged to stay out of the water or remain near occupied lifeguard towers and avoid rock jetties due to increased ocean-drowning risk.
