The NYPD confirmed that a preschool in Tribeca received an anonymous phone call last Friday from an unknown person threatening to "shoot up the school." The school activated its lockdown protocol, moving children to a secure location until police gave the all-clear, while classes not in the building were sent to an emergency evacuation site. Through parent-network communications, the school learned that at least two other local preschools reportedly received similar threats within the past week, though the NYPD could not confirm those additional incidents. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains open.
