Red Flag Warning for North Bay Interior Mountains Through 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16
The National Weather Service in San Francisco issued a Red Flag Warning on Thursday, October 15, at 11:40 a.m., effective from 10 p.m. that evening through 11 a.m. Friday for the North Bay Interior Mountains zone. Moderate offshore winds and very dry overnight conditions with humidity recoveries of only 14 to 24 percent create conditions where rapid fire spread is possible. The NWS urges residents to secure burn barrels, properly extinguish outdoor fires, and avoid discarding smoking materials outdoors during the warning period.
