Idaho Roommate Seeks Privacy Protection in Upcoming Video Release
Dylan Mortensen, a roommate of the four University of Idaho students killed in Moscow in 2022, filed a court affidavit seeking to have her face blurred in investigative video recordings set for release. In documents filed in Latah County, Mortensen stated that years of harassment and threats following the murders forced her family to move nine times. A judge recently ordered the city of Moscow to disclose records after a lawsuit by EWU Media, but Mortensen argues that releasing body-camera footage and police interviews would make her easily identifiable to strangers. The court has scheduled a hearing on her motion to intervene for next week.
