Woman Charged With Killing Husband, Son at Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun, PA
Metallica Harrison, 27, was charged by the Monroe County District Attorney's Office with two counts of criminal homicide after her husband Charles Harrison and their 3-year-old son were found dead in a hotel room at Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun, Pennsylvania, around 3 p.m. Monday. Police responded to a 911 call from Harrison, who was suicidal with self-inflicted cuts on her wrists and neck; investigators recovered a large butcher knife and a smaller knife with teal handles that lodge staff confirmed did not belong to the resort. The family had checked into the lodge on Sept. 21 and extended their stay through Oct. 13. Harrison's family told WPVI she "never wanted to get pregnant" and resented losing time alone with her husband, though these are family claims rather than established facts. The district attorney called it a lengthy investigation; autopsies were scheduled for later that week.
