Two Minor Earthquakes Reported Near Toms Place, CA, on Oct. 16
The U.S. Geological Survey reported two minor earthquakes near Toms Place, California, on Friday afternoon, Oct. 16. A magnitude 2.9 tremor occurred at 6:50 p.m. with an epicenter 12 miles southwest of the community at a depth of 1 mile. A second magnitude 2.8 quake was also centered near Toms Place on the same day. Residents who felt the shaking are encouraged to submit reports through the USGS Felt Report form.
