Dome Fire in Yosemite Fully Contained at 6,788 Acres
CalFire confirmed the Dome Fire in Yosemite National Park is fully contained after burning more than a month through wilderness just inside the park's southern entrance. The fire reached a perimeter of 6,788 acres before containment was achieved. Some trails and trailheads closed by the fire have reopened, though a closure order remained in effect on Monday. It remains unclear when the fire will be fully extinguished or how many firefighters will remain in the area.
