The National Weather Service in San Francisco issued a coastal flood advisory Friday at 3:58 p.m. for Coastal North Bay Including Point Reyes National Seashore and San Francisco Peninsula Coast, effective until Saturday at 6 p.m. Up to 1.9 feet of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways, with up to 1.5 feet of surge enhancing the astronomical tide. High tides are expected at 2:39 p.m. Friday (7.7 ft MLLW) and 3:44 p.m. Saturday (7.3 ft MLLW) at the San Francisco tidal gauge. The NWS warns of flooding of low-lying infrastructure, isolated road closures, coastal erosion, and restricted beach access; residents in flood-prone areas should move to higher ground and avoid driving through floodwaters.
