Fatal Shooting at Madison, IL Youth Football Game Nov. 1; Police Seek Tips
Four adults were shot during a youth football championship game at Madison Senior High School, 600 Farrish St., in Madison, Illinois, on Sunday evening, November 1, 2026, police said. One victim died at the scene and three others were hospitalized in stable condition, according to the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis, which is leading the investigation with the Madison Police Department. The game was organized by a third party under Board Policy 8:20, not by Madison School District 12, which cancelled classes Monday due to the incident and Tuesday for the general election.
