Search Underway for Missing Man Near Jackson-Macon County Line, Oct. 28
Emergency crews from Jackson County, Macon County, and North Carolina Wildlife are searching Wednesday, Oct. 28, for a missing man near the Jackson-Macon county line in western North Carolina. The man was last seen Saturday, Oct. 10, and his identity has not been confirmed. A command post has been established to coordinate operations between agencies. Residents and drivers in the Tilley Creek Road area are advised to expect significant emergency services presence. Officials said public volunteers are not needed at this time.
