Olivia Hale, San Joaquin County's registrar of voters, said Monday she expects between 46% and 60% turnout among the county's 415,611 registered voters for Tuesday's general election. The lower estimate aligns with the 2022 non-presidential year's 46.5% turnout, while the higher figure reflects outreach efforts and 81,000 mail-in ballots received by Friday. Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Locally, voters will decide three Stockton City Council races (Districts 1, 3, and 5) and four Stockton Unified school board seats.

The hospital is launching a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, a stroke-care collaboration with Stanford Hospital, and expanded orthopedic services to improve its Medicare quality ratings, which recently dropped to two stars. Earlier in 2026, a union representing Dameron workers raised concerns about proposed outsourcing of approximately 70% of represented positions.
