Livermore School Board Votes on Raises, Bylaws Updates at Oct. 13 Meeting

The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District board will vote Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. on raises for more than 30 positions across two employee groups, including principals, directors, athletic trainers, and child nutrition coordinators. If approved, qualifying employees would receive a 3% raise retroactive to July 1, 2026, followed by 1.5% increases effective Jan. 1 and July 1, with an ongoing annual cost of about $1.1 million. Trustees will also consider first-reading updates to board bylaws clarifying conflict-of-interest and campaign-contribution rules for trustees and the superintendent, reflecting recent changes to the Political Reform Act and Brown Act. The agenda includes presentations on state and local student assessments, the Math Placement Act report showing 99% of sixth-graders appropriately placed, and a 2026-27 enrollment figure of 12,824 students.
