USDA Rural Development Wyoming State Director Tyler Harrison announced a $1 million loan to the Nordic Ranches Community Water and Sewer District in Lincoln County, Wyoming. The funding will secure a small community water system critical for providing safe, reliable drinking water to residents of the area. District President David Mosgeller said the loan ensures long-term viability for the community, while Wyoming Association of Rural Water Systems Senior Advisor Mark Pepper noted residents will have local control over their water system and reasonable rates. The project is part of more than $2 billion invested nationwide in rural water and wastewater projects.

Organizer Ivy Robinson has renewed a digital trick-or-treat map for Star Valley communities ahead of Halloween night 2026, allowing residents to register their homes as treat stops. The map uses pumpkin icons for participating houses and coffin icons for Halloween events, with a check-off feature so families can track visited locations. Robinson said the tool addresses the challenge of finding trick-or-treat destinations across Star Valley's spread-out neighborhoods, noting some residents saw over 30 children visit last year after years without trick-or-treaters. Residents can add their homes via QR code or at https://map.proxi.co/r/QStMC4MFEHG42XYilRCU.
