LCSD2 Education Foundation Expands Scholarship, Construction and Gateway Programs
The LCSD2 Education Foundation is soliciting fall donations to its Community Scholarship Fund for spring awards after raising over $200,000 last year, according to outgoing Chairman Tim Hale in a Monday SVI Radio Network interview. Star Valley High School Residential Construction students have begun building a new home in the Honeybee residential development south of Afton, following completion of a prior home now listed for sale through a collaboration with Bank of Star Valley. The Foundation's Gateway Program continues recruiting LCSD#2 teachers to pursue master's degrees in science and mathematics fields needed to offer concurrent enrollment courses that let students earn college credit while in high school.
