9 Children Removed, Two Arrested in Etna Township Child Endangerment Case
The Licking County Sheriff's Office arrested Jonathan Parr and Jacqueline Coleman on child endangerment charges Tuesday after executing a search warrant at a home in Etna Township, Ohio. Nine children were removed from the residence, which detectives described as having "appalling and unsafe living conditions" housing twelve people total. According to Captain Jay Cook, children disclosed being forced into prolonged wall-squat positions as punishment, sometimes lasting all day, with nails reportedly placed on the floor as foot markers. All nine children are now in the custody of child protective services, and additional charges against the suspects remain possible.
