WYDOT Awards $109 Million in Highway Contracts Across Wyoming
The Wyoming Transportation Commission approved approximately $109 million in highway construction contracts covering 10 projects across the state. Key projects include an $8.8 million resurfacing of 10.6 miles of Highway 59 between Douglas and Bill, a $2.5 million bridge replacement on Highway 51 in Crook County, and $42.4 million in pavement work and rehabilitation of 12 bridges along Interstate 80 between Rock Springs and Rawlins. Additional contracts cover improvements to I-25 between Glendo and Douglas and road and bridge work between Cheyenne and Pine Bluffs. WYDOT says the projects are funded primarily with federal dollars, and nearly all contracts go to the lowest bidder.
