Conservation Easement Protects Sublette Antelope Corridor Near Boulder
The Jackson Hole Land Trust's Green River Valley Program announced Oct. 7 that the Looney family placed a permanent conservation easement on their 233-acre Wild Horse Ranch, located 7.5 miles southwest of Boulder along the New Fork River. The easement protects critical habitat within the Sublette Antelope Migration Corridor, including 1.3 miles of Yellow Ribbon Stream, 104 acres of wetlands, and 60 acres within the Daniel Sage-Grouse Core Area. The action prevents subdivision of the land while allowing continued agricultural production, addressing habitat fragmentation identified in Wyoming Game and Fish's 2025 biological risk assessment.
